Whisper of the Unseen (My future will be…)

 

Objective

The objectives of this competition category are:

  • Registered candidates to acquire practical knowledge and skills in the field of creative arts and industries and especially multimedia design.
  • Registered candidates to familiarize themselves with the study conditions, the software applications that are used most often, with part of the teaching staff, with the works of their future colleagues and fellow students, with the professions that they can work by choosing this study program and with the capabilities of the faculties that are involved in the implementation of the campaign. Especially with the phenomenon that students who complete this course are employed or make works from home for clients, even before they finish their studies.
Description The selection of registered candidates is carried out in two stages:

1. Phase “Concept” – Creation of concept, storyboard, character design, scenario, treatment and/or synopsis for multimedia presentation of the task: 50%

  • Selection of the media-carrier of the messages of the multimedia designed part and definition of a target group. 25%
  • Methodological approach to the creation of the design work through the creation of concept art and the selection of the most suitable software tools: 25%

2. Development and presentation phase: 50%

  • Production, post-production and method of presentation of the multimedia work. 50%

You will get acquainted with the semiology of multimedia and graphic design, which is universal in every point of the planet Earth, because it is based on the principles of the emotional coefficient, knowledge of modern technologies and a creative approach to market analysis. Through the partners of the project, you will find out how to apply for majority and minority projects, how to apply to European and world funds for audiovisual and design works, as well as at home can be your workplace, when you wish, because you earn with your works , and not with his presence at the workplace or the regular realization of work tasks.

How will it be realized?

By clicking on the application for this category, you decide to be part of a study of the ways of making multimedia design works on a given topic. Just as tomorrow approaches the creation of a work for a client according to his requirements, and your creativity in your chosen medium, for a superior product or service for a specific target group for which your client works. In a discussion with the mentor teacher at the AUE-FON University, you develop a concept art or storyboard for the work, definitely choose a media-carrier, then scout a location for the realization of the project and a methodological approach to achieve the most successful result in the most rational time and with the most adequate software tools.

In the post-production phase, you eliminate all initially unnoticeable errors, and then choose a presentation method that is most successful and extremely innovative. At the same time, you learn from older colleagues who are students, what difficulties they encountered most often when choosing media or software and how they overcame those challenges. With the technical and technological aids of the Faculty of Design and Multimedia, your own devices, with the aids and advice of partners, you learn what the experience of many years means, limited in just one month of cooperation.

What are the evaluation criteria?

From the “Concept” phase, the development of a concept or storyboard for the audiovisual presentation of the task forms 50% of the evaluation of the project activity. This phase includes two segments:

  • Choosing the media-carrier of the messages of the multimedia designed part and defining the target group, which forms 25% of the evaluation of the project activity.
  • Methodological approach to the creation of the design work through the creation of concept art and the selection of the most suitable software tools, which form 25% of the evaluation of the project activity.

We need to present what we feel and what we see in front of us, as well as what we want to change for a better future.

  • 50% of the grade of the project activity is formed from the stage of preparation and presentation. It covers the segments of production, post-production and way of presentation of the multimedia work, which makes up 40% of the evaluation of the project activity.

 Who should apply to this category?

Any high school student who has the talent or wants to learn the secrets of:

  1. UX/UI design,
  2. 3D modeling,
  3. Animation,
  4. Concept art for the gaming industry,
  5. Production of a short feature film,
  6. WEB design,
  7. Audiovisual production and post-production,
  8. Production of a photo on which software manipulation has been carried out,
  9. Digitally generated photo,
  10. Playwriting, directing and film and television editing,
  11. Scenography and lighting design of scenes for audiovisual and stage-performance works,
  12. Content design for digital marketing.

Every high school student who perceives his professional present and future as:

  1. UX/UI designer,
  2. Animator.
  3. Designer of concept art for the gaming industry
  4. Audiovisual artist,
  5. Film and television director,
  6. Art director/ Art director
  7. Lighting designer/Lighting designer
  8. Scenographer
  9. Multimedia designer/Multimedia designer
  10. Film and television editor.
  11. 1 Designer of digital marketing solutions,
  12. Multimedia author of campaigns (marketing, political, educational, etc.).

 Where will the preparation for this category and the courtroom take place?

The preparation process will be realized in two ways in the premises of the American University of Europe-FON and by realizing the project at a scouted location. Daily communication with the mentors of the category (university professors) will be carried out in person and/or through a virtual platform (Teams on Office365).

 Suggestions for bringing this project activity closer to the campaign:

Guerrilla marketing, direct presentations of works by successful students, looking at web pages of works by students of the Faculty of Design and Multimedia, open day for work in the premises of the faculty and the premises of the project partners, acquaintance with the successful alumni of the area.
